G.E. Will Share Jet Technology With China

Part of China's plans for its continuing boom is taking part in the world's leading industries. One of these is aviation and General Electric is going ahead with a joint-venture to help them.
Already a leader in sales of jet engines in China, GE will be sharing more advanced technology with the government owned company. The new advancements are computerized systems for controlling and navigating the planes. They hope to gain an advantage over other companies like Boeing and Airbus who are the main providers of jet planes to the Chinese. There are risks though. China is famous for producing items at a lesser cost than the US and this could give them the same advantage in the aviation industry too.
When China's president, Hu Jintao visits the United States on Friday for the summit with President Obama, GE plans to make it official. They consider it a worthy venture as American corporations continue to invest in China's top markets.
